In 1995, February 28th officially observed but not a public holiday, renamed 228 Peace Memorial Day, and established memorials to honor the victims and promote peace and reconciliation. Peace is rarely free; achieving and maintaining it requires significant investments of effort, compromise, resources, and often, sacrifices. The white lily is often used as a symbol of remembrance and resilience, representing the innocence and purity of the victims who lost their lives while fighting against political oppression, cherishing and protecting fundamental rights and freedoms.

Please be informed that our office will be closed on Feb 27 and reopening on March 02 for Peace Memorial Day. We’ll will immediately review any outstanding issues once return to work.
